As well as under going courses with the ADTB i have also studied canine phsycology with the Canine Behaviour Centre. I also have an NVQ in animal care level 2, City & Guilds in Animal management and have passed the Hills and Eukanuba courses in pet nutrition and 'Sherleys' course on flea and worm management. During July of 2010 i attended a K9 first aid course with Animal aiders.
I have always had a passion for big dogs and was brought up around German Shepherd dogs. I have previously been owned by bull terriers, French mastiffs and more recently i have found my ultimate passion in Great danes, i have had great successs showing my danes in the show ring and was incredibly proud to qualify and show both of my dogs at Crufts 2009 and have already qualified my youngster for crufts 2010. I have also been lucky enough to handle a couple of other danes in the ring belonging to Jane at Fendane Great danes. You can read more about my dogs here at www.rogzdane.co.uk
I also volunteer for Bullies in Need and have helped rehome several bullies in and around the Stevenage area find their forever homes. Also as a member of RHU i am always on hand to assess and homecheck for various other rescue centres.
Aswell as my 3 dogs i also have a cat 'Tidgy pud' and a tank of breeding african cichlids. My 2 children Kieran and Lewis also have a huge love of all animals and have been brought up to respect animals big and small. They have their own pet rats which gives them their own sense of responsibilty.
Kieran definatly follows his mums passion of dogs and attends dog training in all the school holidays and has just started to take Oscar to Ringcraft classes in the hope that he will one day show his own dog.
In the past i have been owned by various hamsters, gerbils, rats, rabbits, guinea pigs, a cockatiel, budgie, tortoise and a blue tongue skink!
